⚔️ Survival Mode
This is the classic Minecraft experience! You start with nothing and must gather resources, craft tools, build shelter, and survive against monsters.
How It Works:
- You have a health bar and a hunger bar
- You need to eat food to stay alive
- Monsters (called "mobs") spawn at night and in dark places
- If you die, you drop all your items (but you can go pick them up!)
- You can mine blocks and collect resources
Top Tips:
- First thing: punch a tree to get wood!
- Make a crafting table, then wooden tools
- Build a shelter before night falls
- Always carry food with you
- Light up areas with torches to stop monsters spawning
🎨 Creative Mode
Want to build without limits? Creative mode gives you every block in the game, lets you fly, and makes you invincible. It's like having infinite LEGOs!
How It Works:
- You have access to every block and item in the game
- You can fly by double-tapping the jump button
- You can't die or take damage
- Blocks break instantly
- No hunger bar to worry about
Top Tips:
- Double-tap SPACE to start flying, hold SPACE to go up
- Use the search bar in your inventory to find blocks quickly
- Great for practicing building before trying Survival
- Try building a house, a castle, or even a whole city!
- Use different block types to make your builds look awesome
🗺️ Adventure Mode
Adventure mode is designed for playing custom maps made by other players. You can explore and interact with things, but you can't break or place blocks freely.
How It Works:
- You can't break or place blocks normally
- You can still fight mobs and open doors/chests
- Map makers control what you can and can't do
- Often used for story-driven maps and puzzles
- You still have health and hunger like Survival
Top Tips:
- Look for signs and books - they often give you clues!
- Search online for cool adventure maps to download
- Pay attention to the story and follow the path
- Some maps have hidden secrets - explore everywhere!
👁️ Spectator Mode
Become a ghost! In Spectator mode you can fly through blocks, watch other players, and explore the world without being seen. Perfect for checking out cool builds!
How It Works:
- You're invisible to other players
- You can fly through any block - even bedrock!
- You can click on a mob to see through its eyes
- You can't interact with anything or place blocks
- Great for exploring or watching friends play
Top Tips:
- Use scroll wheel to change flying speed
- Click on a Creeper to see the world through its eyes (everything looks green!)
- Great for finding caves and underground structures
- Use it to scout ahead in multiplayer games
💀 Hardcore Mode
Think you're tough? Hardcore is like Survival mode, but cranked up to maximum difficulty. And here's the catch: if you die, the world is deleted forever!
How It Works:
- Same as Survival but locked on Hard difficulty
- You only get ONE life - no respawning!
- When you die, you can only spectate or delete the world
- Monsters deal more damage and are smarter
- Your health doesn't regenerate as fast
Top Tips:
- Play regular Survival first to practice!
- Be EXTRA careful around lava and cliffs
- Always have food and a shield ready
- Build safe paths between areas you visit often
- Don't fight the Ender Dragon until you're fully prepared!
